Lots of WHOA but no GO?
Every horse - like every human - is unique. They think differently. Some horses move out easily - that can be because they're calm and energetic. It can be because they're anxious and fleeing.
Other horses, though, don't move. And that can be for many reasons. The problem is, the symptoms don't vary much. A stoic horse can have a freeze response to pressure and they won't look any different than they do when they're calm. Just like some people are great at disguising their emotions - whether intentional or not.
When a horse isn't moving out, it can be a big source of frustration. That might tempt us to use more pressure, but for a horse that isn't moving because of pressure, we're playing right into the problem.
In this show, we'll look at a variety of reasons a horse won't move and specifically how to deal with it in a supportive way.
